So the excitement of the trip was that last night we anchored near Los Palmos in Grand Canaria – to drop off some crew. If you look at the tracking – you’ll see how close we came to land. A boat came out and picked up the crew – right outside our cabin window. We are not privy to why this unscheduled stop happened. We were informed by the captain earlier in the day that we were going to anchor and let off a couple of crew – and his comment was “and that is all I am going to say about that”.

Otherwise – it is lots of sea, three regular meals a day, a little bit of optional entertainment (some music, yoga, general knowledge quizes etc). We saw something jump out of the water this morning a couple of time – maybe a dolphin? or large fish? didn’t see it closely enough to know. We’ve seen a few other ships – maybe a fishing boat, a cargo ship and we’ve seen a small sailboat a couple of times. Seas were a little up and down the first few days but today are pretty smooth. Weather is getting warmer (it was cold the first couple of days). Not quite bathing suit weather yet – still a cool breeze – but I did put sun screen on today 🙂
Today the sails are partly up 🙂 And we are hopefully making up time for our unscheduled stop.
